Agilysys adds table management solution

September 29, 2014

Agilysys Inc., a provider of IT and hospitality software and services, today announced an expansion of the rGuest product offering to include rGuest Seat, a table, reservation and wait list management solution. According to a news release, the application streamlines operations and can be bundled with other Agilysys offerings — including point-of-sale, analytics, inventory and procurement and workforce management solutions.

rGuest Seat is a Web-based and iOS app-based table management solution that can reside on a networked computer or operate on an Apple iPad or iPad mini mobile digital device. rGuest Seat offers full views of customized table layouts with capabilities to manage the dining process, including blocking tables from reservations and service.

An online reservation widget enables diners to book reservations from the restaurant website and offers options such as special menus and seating areas.

Other features of the rGuest Seat solution include:

  • Ability to control reservation slots manually or operate in automatic mode.
  • Wait list functionality that provides more accurate wait time estimates.
  • Customizable guest confirmation via email and text messaging.
  • 'Administration View' dashboard that enables managers to track shift statistics, assign servers, add notes and access reports.
  • Ability to toggle between restaurants to gain a complete view of reservations and wait list status.

"The solution's features and functionality not only streamline operations but also allow restaurants to increase bookings, optimize resources and deliver exceptional service. Most importantly, the rGuest Seat application enables our customers to personalize their engagement with guests, creating lasting connections that result in greater satisfaction and repeat business," Ravi Angadi, VP of product management, said in the release.
