American Express certifies Digital Dining POS

February 21, 2007

SPRINGFIELD, Va. — Menusoft Systems Corp., provider of POS solutions to the hospitality industry, has been certified by American Express for direct online-payment connectivity.

According to a news release, the certification means Digital Dining clients can process high-speed payments online using an integrated interface tried directly to American Express. Digital Dining is the first POS system for restaurants to offer direct verification and deposit over American Express's new Web Services Internet Gateway. This capability allows Digital Dining users to save 5 to 10 cents per American Express transaction as a result of processing directly versus processing through a third party provider.
"Being able to offer our clients a way to reduce their cost for taking American Express credit and gift cards gives us yet another significant ROI advantage over other POS systems" said Andre Nataf, Strategic Channel Manager for Digital Dining. "Digital Dining and American Express have given restaurants a great combined value that will increase their customer's profitability."
