Bill's Pizza & Pub will undergo $600,000 in renovations next year, according to a Daily Herald report. The Mundelein, Illinois, mainstay received a $50,000 city grant to help pay for it.
The exterior of the restaurant will get a facelift ant a patio and pergola are planned to increased outside dining, a result of the pandemic. A new bathroom that is handicap accessible is also planned.
"We realized fairly quickly during the summer of 2020 that many of our customers really enjoyed dining outside at our restaurant," owner Mary Ann Rouse told the news outlet. "We're expecting the outdoor dining trend to continue, and this project will create a much more comfortable outdoor dining experience for our customers."
Construction is slated to start in the spring, and Rouse hopes construction will be completed by the summer to use the patio.
