NEWS OF THE WEIRD: Angry customer threatens to blow up Papa John's store

November 6, 2003

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.—According to a report in the St. Augustine Record, an angry Papa John's customer threatened to bomb the store after his pizza wasn't delivered on Nov. 5.

A sheriff's report said a man called in an order, but the delivery driver brought the pizza to the wrong address. After some time had passed, the customer called the store and told an employee, "If I don't get my food, I'm going to get you."

The employee cancelled the order after the threat and the man became angry, the report said.

Over the next 45 minutes the angry customer called the store and made threats. On one call he said, "I'm going to blow you guys all up."

As of Nov. 6, deputies hadn't located the caller.
