Bon Jovi, Ribalta pizza rock hunger campaign kick-off

Food Network held its seventh annual New York City Wine & Food Festival, presented by FOOD & WINE on Oct. 16-19.

With more than 100 events throughout New York City, the festival benefits Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign and Food Bank for New York City. The festival raised $1 million for the campaign, 100 percent of which benefits selected organizations.

Jon Bon Jovi was among those at the kickoff event October 16, joining brothers Anthony and Matthew for the launch of their father's Bongiovi Brand Pasta Sauce at Ronzoni's La Sagra Slices. Entertainment guide Time Out New York presented the event.

New York-based Ribalta, Cucina, Napoletana served its Pizza in Pala-Ciliegano with cherry tomatoes, basil and Buffalo mozzarella on a San Marzano tomato sauce. The restaurant was awarded Time Out's People's Choice Award for Best Pizza.
