Dallas-based Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar (Boston's) raised nearly $56,000 to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a pediatric and research facility for children fighting cancer and other deadly diseases, and 14 local charities in need of support.
Throughout the annual Boston's Cares fundraiser, Boston's restaurants across the United States sold thousands of specialty menu items, including 11,267 heart-shaped pizzas, 5,263 red velvet cheesecakes, 1,078 gluten-free brownie a la mode desserts and raised more than $37,000 in paper Valentine's sales.
In addition to Boston's donating all proceeds from the paper hearts and $1 from each food item sold, $1,647 was raised through local events hosted by various Boston's locations across the country.
