Boston's The Gourmet Pizza to hold children's fundraiser
January 8, 2008
DALLAS — Boston's The Gourmet Pizza will kick off its annual Valentine's fundraiser Jan. 28, benefiting Children's Miracle Network, a national non-profit organization comprised of 170 children's hospitals. For the event, 52 Boston's locations will raise funds to be directly donated to Children's Miracle Network.
From Feb. 14-17, Boston's will sell heart-shaped pizzas and will donate $1 from every pie sold to the non-profit. Additionally, Boston's will sell special paper hearts that patrons can write Valentine's messages and designs on for a $1 donation. The paper hearts will be available Jan. 28 through Feb. 17 and will be displayed in restaurants for the duration of the fundraiser.
This is the second year that Boston's has partnered with Children's Miracle Network. In 2007, the restaurant sold more than 16,000 paper hearts and more than 21,000 of its heart-shaped pizzas, making a final donation of more than $40,000 to the non-profit organization.
