Boston's the Gourmet Pizza unveils kid's program

DALLAS — Boston's The Gourmet Pizza has unveiled a new kids program featuring a new menu and a group of characters known as "Team Boston's."

Boston's partnered with marketing company C3 to create the program. Team Boston's consists of Lexi, Zack, Sam, Gus and a character Boston the Bulldog. The group promotes physical activity and healthier lifestyles through a selection of menu items and activities geared toward customers 12 and under.

Tying in with each of the Team Boston's characters is the Team Boston's activity pack each child receives upon being seated. Each packet includes an eight page activity booklet, a Team Boston's take-home kids' cup, and Team Boston's tattoos.

New kid's menu items include:

Slammin' Spaghetti & Meatball — Spaghetti and Boston's marinara sauce (served on the side) and topped with a large meatball.
Zack Attack Mac & Cheese — Butterfly macaroni & cheese.
Boston's Fan-Tastic Pizza — An 8-inch cheese or pepperoni pizza.
Boston the Bulldog's Burger — A kid-sized burger served with or without cheese.
Quarterback Quesadilla — Cheese melted between two tortillas.
In the Zone Calzone — A calzone stuffed with pizza sauce, cheddar, mozzarella and a choice of sausage, pepperoni or chicken.
Kickin' Chicken Bites — Lightly-breaded chicken bites.

Side items include French fries, side salad, mandarin oranges or carrot sticks and ranch dressing. Specialty kid's drinks include Sour Apple Soda and Strawberry Melonade, both of which also are available for adults. Each drink is served in a Team Boston's take-home cup.
