Detroit Free Press: According to David Brandon, chief executive and chairman at Domino's Pizza Inc., the key to doing battle in a crowded pizza marketplace is crafting a hipper image. The company paid mega-dollars to snag a starring role on "The Apprentice" on NBC, and the show's star, Donald Trump, made two commercials for the Ann Arbor, Mich., chain.
Domino's Web page now connects people to its "Be The Donald" game — with the grand prize being a "Trump-style Manhattan weekend." In another pop culture move, Domino's is the "Official Pizza of NASCAR," too.
