Stick up! Thief pinches $1,000 during pizza workers' bank drop

March 31, 2004

CLAIREMONT, Calif.—A man stole about $1,000 from two Domino's Pizza employees as they attempted a bank drop at around midnight on March 30.

According to the San Diego Tribune, the employees told San Diego police that a man wearing a hood emerged from behind a corner of the bank, said he had a gun and then demanded one of the employees drop the money bag.

The robber retrieved the bag and fled to a getaway car, while both pizza workers gave chase.

Though the pair gave a positive I.D. for the car, no arrests have been made.
