Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based Pizza Nova introduced its pepperoni topping sourced from animals that are vegetable grain-fed within Canada and raised without antibiotics and hormones.
"Our improved pepperoni is another expression of our commitment to providing the best, freshest and healthiest ingredients anywhere," President Domenic Primucci said in a statement. "Consumers today are more conscious of what goes into their food, so it is always important for us to listen and adapt to their needs. We've been successful with a dairy-free mozzarella, trans-fats-free dough and gluten-free crust, so we believe this new pepperoni will be a huge hit for pizza lovers."
