Western Canada brand, Pizza 73, said growth and innovation are the driving forces behind a new 40,000-square-foot headquarters in Edmonton that opened last month. The 33-year-old chain now has 86 stores, but a news release said that due to recent expansion, a larger base facility was needed.
The new head office will serve as base for the brand's distribution and call centers, along with its administrative team, which it expects to include approximately 100 employees by October 2018 with the hiring of about 20 percent more individuals.
Pizza 73 said its new facility also emphasizes its commitment to sustainability with 100 percent LED lighting, occupancy sensors, high efficient boilers, roof top units, and high efficient insulated roof and panels.
"Pizza 73's new headquarters is an important investment for today and tomorrow as we grow and innovate Pizza 73 and Western Canada," Operations and Development Senior Vice President Philip Goudreau, said in the release. "It will help with efficiencies for our team and suppliers to allow us to enhance the customer experience."
The facility will service the leading Western Canadian pizza chain's locations throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and Yukon.
