Canadian pizza chains raise $300K for Children's Miracle Network

March 20, 2014

Pizza Pizza Limited, parent company of Pizza Pizza and Pizza 73 brands, announced that it raised $300,000 for children's hospitals in 2013.

According to a news release, the funds were generated as part of the Slices for Smiles program and will go to Children's Miracle Network and its 14 member children's hospitals throughout Canada. The total represents an increase, year after year since the inception of the partnership in 2008, bringing the grand total to more than $1.3 million in funds raised by the brands for the network.

"We are so proud of our customers, partners and team members," said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Pizza and Pizza 73. "One in four Canadians has visited a children's hospital, so supporting Children's Miracle Network is one of our most concrete forms of corporate giving. We are honored to be able to help make a difference through the Slices for Smiles Foundation and look forward to beating our record again next year."
