The price of block cheddar cheese took a dive for the second day in a row, sinking 10.25 cents to $1.5375 per pound in Feb. 2 trading. The price marks the market's lowest point since Jan. 11, when blocks sold at $1.52.
Still, "low price" is a relative term. On this date last year, block cheddar traded at $1.33 per pound, about in line with historical January prices.
