CiCi's Pizza hosting Special Olympics fundraiser

July 31, 2013

In August, seven CiCi's Pizza locations in Georgia will raise money for the state's Special Olympics program. From Aug. 1 through Aug. 31, guests can purchase Special Olympics paper logos for $1 and personalize them to be displayed in the restaurants.

Guests can also donate $5 to the cause and receive a voucher for a free, regular sized drink in return. All proceeds from the logo sales will benefit Special Olympics Georgia state programs.

The fundraising efforts will also include "Dough Raisers" events at participating restaurants on Aug. 13, which is a one-day challenge for CiCi's guests to purchase enough Special Olympics paper logos to cover an entire law enforcement vehicle. In addition to the logo proceeds, participating CiCi's will donate 10 percent of that day's sales to Special Olympics Georgia.

"This is our second year to partner with Special Olympics, and it's been such a great program that we've expanded our fundraising efforts to include three additional states," said Diana Isaacson, CiCi's field marketing manager. "At CiCi's, we care about our communities and all the families that make them great, and we invite our guests to come in and help us support this worthy cause throughout August."

CiCi's will partner with other statewide Special Olympics chapters, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia for fundraising events.
