Marco's Pizza has opened a 14,030-square-foot Operations Center of Excellence in downtown Orlando, creating a dedicated training and operations hub to support franchisees and the brand's continued expansion, the company has announced in a news release. The opening ceremony featured Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, company executives and community leaders, along with a ribbon cutting and ceremonial "First Slice" to mark the occasion.
The new center will serve as a corporate office, training destination and operational hub, featuring a fully equipped kitchen designed to replicate a Marco's Pizza restaurant. The facility will provide franchisees with hands-on training in the brand's operating standards and bring franchisees, company leaders and supply chain partners together to strengthen performance across the system.
"Great brands are built by great operators. This center gives our franchisees practical, hands-on training, and stronger operational support," Tony Libardi, president and co-CEO of Marco's Pizza, said in the release. "As Marco's grows, that investment will help us protect consistency and improve performance across the system."
The center will host Marco's University, which provides advanced training for franchisees, as well as Discovery Days for prospective franchise owners.
"We built this center to train the way our operators actually work — in a real kitchen, at real speed," John Meyers, chief operating officer of Marco's Pizza, said in the release. "Execution is the foundation, and empowerment is what sets it apart."
Florida is one of Marco's largest markets, making Orlando a strategic location for a facility designed to support franchisees across the system.
