Cottage Inn Pizza gets techy with business operations

MenuDrive and SpeedLine's new ordering system is working for Cottage Inn Pizza.

September 18, 2015

MenuDrive, a provider of online and mobile ordering platforms, has partnered with pizza and delivery point-of-sale provider SpeedLine to create a new ordering system for restaurants. The partnership stems from a request from one of MenuDrive’s clients, Michigan-based pizza chain, Cottage Inn Pizza, which introduced the companies and requested an integrated solution, according to a company press release. Cottage Inn Pizza has 56 locations in Michigan and Ohio.

"The integration is a major enhancement to our services," MenuDrive Business Development Director Aaron Fang said. "Cottage Inn and other SpeedLine customers will now be able to streamline their online ordering process by accepting orders directly at the POS. The end result is that restaurants will increase their efficiency, increase their sales, and increase their profitability."

The integration with SpeedLine shortens service times and eliminates employee entry errors, the release stated. Customers’ online orders are sent to the SpeedLine POS system and printed or displayed in the kitchen for employees. SpeedLine customers can also use MenuDrive’s control panel to manage their menus and marketing campaigns.

"MenuDrive integrates with SpeedLine Connect to send orders and customer information direct to the SpeedLine POS, and communicates key information such as current delivery times back to the online ordering web site in real time," SpeedLine Marketing Manager Jennifer Wiebe said. "The implementation at Cottage Inn has been successful, and we are pleased to introduce MenuDrive to our clients as a new technology choice for their restaurants."
