Marco's Pizza has named veteran marketing executive Steve Seyferth as its new CMO, according to a news release. Seyferth has a background that includes leading communication initiative’s for Domino’s, General Mills, Kraft, Coors, Gatorade and Ford. He also held the position of vice president at AOL, Time Warner and AT&T AdWorks, according to a news release, and owned SSG Marketing, which worked as a service provider to Marco's.
In fact, the brand credits SSG Marketing with helping establish Marco's as a strategic player on the pizza scene nationally, while also overseeing its public relations efforts. Finally, Seyferth is also credited with helping create numerous award-winning ad campaigns, as well as the 1991 Gatorade "Be Like Mike” campaign featuring Michael Jordan which USA Today named "Best Sports Commercial" of all time in 2016.
