ALMOGORDO, N.M. -- A pizza delivery driver was ambushed by two men while making a delivery on Oct. 24.

According to the Almogordo Daily News, when a Papa John's delivery driver arrived at the home where the pizza was to be delivered, no one answered the door. According to a police report, the driver then was called across the street by a man who said the pizza was for him.

As the victim crossed the street, a second male subject jumped him from behind some bushes and struck the driver once in the leg with a baseball bat. The driver fled the scene immediately.

Officers canvassed the area, but no suspects or evidence could be located.
