The latest war in on-premise vs. frozen pizza sales will be waged in breadsticks.
DiGiorno, which rocked the stagnant pizza segment with stellar sales last fall, is introducing a new product: DiGiorno Pizza & Breadsticks.
And the language in the marketing materials is taking the delivery pizza segment head-on, again.
“With new DiGiorno Pizza & Breadsticks, America can now get the perfect delivery-style combo without having to wait for the pizza guy,” said a press release.
Available nationally in grocers’ freezers, DiGiorno is the first-ever pizza and breadstick combination that America can bake up right from their own oven. DiGiorno Pizza & Breadsticks features a full-size, hand-tossed-style pizza paired with a full order of eight breadsticks and marinara dipping sauce.
“We’re excited to launch this popular delivery combo, making dinner quicker, easier and tastier for all,” said Tom Moe, DiGiorno marketing director. “DiGiorno Pizza & Breadsticks delivers the great, fresh-baked taste that we’re known for in a perfect combination to satisfy any discriminating pizza lover.”
