Domino's 1st Czech Republic store open

Global retail pizza sales leader, Domino's Pizza, is getting more global, opening its first store Czech Republic store in Brno through a partnership with master franchisee, Daufood Czech Republic S.R.O., a news release said. The restaurant opened recently and offers both dine-in and delivery. 

"I am so proud of the team that helped bring the global Domino's brand to the Czech Republic," Daufood CEO Jose Marti, said in the release. 

The first location is in the Vinohrady area of Brno, and features the brand's new pizza theater design that gives patrons a front row seat to the pizza-making action. A second location will be opening in Brno's city center, with additional locations next year.

"Establishing ourselves in the Czech Republic provides an excellent opportunity for our brand to continue its global momentum," Domino's Executive Vice President of International Joe Jordan, said in the release. "With a terrific, proven master franchisee like Daufood, we are confident that Domino's will be able to establish itself as the pizza delivery brand of choice in Brno."

Domino's now operates in more than 85 markets worldwide, with more than half of its global retail sales coming from international stores. Globally, it has more than 16,500 stores and last year had global retail sales of more $13.5 billion including nearly $6.6 billion in the U.S. and more than $6.9 billion internationally.
