October 30, 2006
ANN ARBOR, Mich. —
Domino's Pizza is celebrating the introduction of its new Brooklyn Style Pizza with the launch of two opportunities to win authentic "Brooklynesque" prizes.
According to a news release, customers who order a 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola with any pizza order can enter to win a vintage New York taxi cab, with gift certificates for free Domino's Pizza and Coca-Cola for a year. Each 2-liter Coca-Cola ordered comes with a sticker and game code. Customers can use that to enter the Brooklyn Style Sweepstakes by visiting BrooklynStylePizza.com and entering their game code for a chance to win.
In addition to entering in the sweepstakes, visitors to BrooklynStylePizza.com can see a Domino's Pizza storefront located in a brownstone on a busy Brooklyn street. "Ma," a character from Domino's Brooklyn Style Pizza commercial, serves as a guide as visitors click on the various elements on and around the neighborhood and are taken to different areas within the Web site. Once on the site visitors can:
* Learn how to properly eat Brooklyn Style Pizza
* Download Brooklyn-inspired ring tones
* Hear authentic "Brooklyn-speak" phrases
* Send messages to friends and family from popular characters featured in the Domino's Brooklyn Style Pizza commercial.
"We had a lot of fun delving into the culture of Brooklyn to add even more excitement to the launch of Brooklyn Style Pizza," said Ken Calwell, Domino's chief marketing officer. "In addition to a new pizza, we're offering customers two different opportunities to get in touch with the 'old neighborhood' no matter where they are."
The new Brooklyn Style Pizza combines hand-tossed dough stretched thin and cut into six big, foldable slices. The pizza includes a blend of mozzarella and provolone cheeses and a choice of new extra large sausage or pepperoni toppings. Sales price is just $9.99, but for $2 more, customers can upgrade to an extra large.
