December 18, 2017

Domino's Pizza has promoted U.S. CMO Joe Jordan to executive vice president of international. He'll oversee the brand's leadership teams in Europe, the Middle East and Africa — areas that make up half of the brand's international sales, a news release said. Jordan will report directly to International President Richard Allison, while the international marketing lead will report to Jordan.

Under Jordan's leadership as CMO for the past three years, the brand's U.S. 2015 and 2016 same-store sales business grew by double digits and nearly hit double-digit growth in the first three quarters of this year. Jordan also led the launch of Domino's handmade pan pizza, specialty chicken and salad items, according to the release.

Former Danone Dairy UBN CMO Art D'Elia is joining the brand as senior vice president of chief brand & innovation officer. As the marketing lead at Danone, he oversaw a vareity of brands, including Dannon, Oikos and Danimals in the U.K., Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. He previously served as PepsiCo's senior brand manager where he led the Pepsi-Lipton joint venture.

"As our brand becomes a global leader in markets around the world, we have a chance to expand our great leadership and provide opportunities for exceptional performers," Domino's President and CEO Patrick Doyle, said in the release. "We're excited about this change, and the chance to share our resources and put proven leaders into positions we believe will help us accelerate our brand trajectory."

Jordan officially begins in April and will work closely until then with D'Elia for a smooth transition in marketing function leadership.
