Domino's Malaysia, Singapore to use blockchain to improve delivery

May 6, 2019

Domino's Pizza division in Malaysia and Singapore is using of blockchain technology to advance and automate delivery through a partnership with automated intelligence company, SingularityNET. A story on Yahoo.finance said the companies will work together to build a growth-enabled decentralized platform to allow Domino's to use AI across its network in those Southeast Asian locales.

The partnership will allow SingularityNET to build algorithms and solutions through a beta platform to improve Domino's operational capabilities in the two countries.

"This is valuable because it increases efficiency in the markets we serve, and that ultimately creates value for all stakeholders — this has been our mission and we remain fully committed to it," Domino's CEO Ba U Shan-Ting said in the story. "In fact, we are currently in the midst of transforming our core products and our data delivery platform to bring more speed and efficiency to our customers. Our newest transformation effort is occurring in our operations function, where we are automating significant portions of our delivery operations and consolidating our operations centers."

SingularityNET will conduct feasibility studies, deliver AI-centric workshops and develop algorithms to impact Domino's business operations. Domino's will improve its abilities to use algorithms to solve some of its top supply chain and logistics challenges in the area, according to the story.

As of press time, Domino's had not responded to a request for contact.
