Domino's Pizza is reducing the number of wings from 10 to eight in its $7.99 carryout deal, citing the rising costs of inflation, according to a USA Today report.
"I think many of you are aware of the significant inflation across the U.S. economy and how that is hitting many of the inputs that we have for our business from meats, to cheese, to some of the grains that go into the production of our products," Domino's CEO Richard Allison said at the ICR Conference earlier this week, according to the report.
The deal will now only be available online.
Chicken wing prices soared in 2021, causing a shortage for restaurants and leaving many scrambling to try to find them for their menus.
