ANN ARBOR, Mich.— Domino's Pizza will launch a new pie dubbed the XLP (which stands for "Xtra LARGE pizza") on April Fools' Day.
According to a news release, the XLP is 30 percent bigger than Domino's current large pizza, but costs only $9.99. Customers at all Domino's stores nationwide get a one-topping pizza for that price, while participating stores in select markets are allowing customers to pile on as many toppings as they like for $2 more.
To boost the launch of the XLP, Domino's has partnered with Target on a tech-toy giveaway. Beginning April 3, with each XLP order, customers receive a Target-branded game piece in the center of their pizzas. On the game piece is a code that, when entered at XLPDominos.com, earns customers a chance to win Target merchandise, including a 42-inch plasma TV, an iPod Nano, an Xbox 360 and others. Fifteen lucky first-prize winners will receive $500 Target GiftCards or free Domino's Pizza. Additional instant-win prizes include $100 Target GiftCards, video iPods, Xbox 360s and free Domino's Pizza.
