Domino's Pizza UK makes record delivery run Down Under

LONDON — Domino's Pizza IRL & UK believes its pizza delivery flight from London to Melbourne, Australia, is a world-record food run.

According to a news release, the 30-hour journey began on Nov. 17 in London and covered 10,496 miles. The old record was 6,861 miles.

Driver Lucy Clough was chosen from thousands of Domino's IRL & UK employees to deliver the Vegetarian supreme pie to Ryan Maloney (a.k.a. Toadfish on the Australian soap, "Neighbours").

The journey was part a fund-raising effort for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, which grants wishes to children ages 3 to 18 living with life-threatening illnesses.
