Driver shoots would-be robber

Des Moines Register: A Des Moines, Iowa, man has been charged with first-degree robbery and will be taken to jail when released from the hospital, police said. A pizza delivery driver told Des Moines police that he shot a man who robbed him at gunpoint.

Pizza Hut officials have suspended the driver, James William Spiers, while the case is under investigation.
