Eagle Boys buys Pizza Haven Australia

BRISBANE, Australia -- Australian pizza maker Eagle Boys Pizza has acquired Pizza Haven Australia, the nation's fourth largest pizza chain.
The move will boost the number of stores Eagle Boys operate across Australia to 270 and see the company enter the Sydney and South Australian markets for the first time.
Under the deal, Pizza Haven franchisees will be offered the opportunity to convert their units to Eagle Boys stores so they can take advantage of the company's business model, buying power, marketing force, training and support systems.
Eagle Boys' same store sales grew 13.9 percent during 2007-08.
