Eagle Boys challenges multinationals over pizza size
December 9, 2007
WEST END, Queensland — Australian pizza maker Eagle Boys has launched a $1 million advertising campaign exposing some multinational competitors for selling smaller pizzas.
Titled "Vote 1 Full Size Large Pizza," the national campaign urges Australians to take a stand for the right to order a large pizza that is, in fact, large.
Eagle Boys national marketing manager Scott Hamilton said the campaign was based on scientific research that found Eagle Boys' pizzas were often considerably larger than pizzas from some of its multinational competitors.
Eagle Boys' "Vote 1 Full Size Large Pizza" campaign will be supported by TV, online and print advertising, vouchers and coupons, direct mail, in-store point of sale, Web site and public relations promotions.
Eagle Boys operates more than 200 franchised stores throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
