Extreme Pizza integrates POS, online ordering system

SAN FRANCISCO — Extreme Pizza, a 34-store chain based in San Francisco, has integrated its point-of-sale system with Internet-ordering service Brygid Restaurant Online.

Orders from Extreme Pizza's Web site are now automatically sent to the Phoenix POS system and printed at the makeline printer at the store closest to the customer. Previously, online orders were printed out on a fax machine and had to be manually entered into the Phoenix system.

"With 1,200 to 1,800 online orders a month per location, the Internet is an increasingly important component of our business," said Todd Parent, president and chief executive of Extreme Pizza. "The integration between Brygid Restaurants Online and our Phoenix system helps us service our online customers more quickly and, at the same time, saves significant labor dollars."
