Los Angeles' famed Sunset Strip restaurant, Dough Pizzeria and Bar, has new owners, including a Food Network-featured chef, former Dominick's Restaurant operator and three business partners, according to a news release.
The new team is led by Managing Operator Joshua Kuyt, who formerly ran New York's Dominick's and has 10 years of restaurant business experience. Head chef is Aaron May, who is regularly featured on the Food Network channel and managed food and beverage programs for Four Season's Resorts. Three partners, entrepreneur Adam Waheed, oil company CEO Farshad Dehbozorgi and talent agent, Mo Mostashari complete the new ownership team.
The restaurant is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, but has a new menu in the works to introduce when it reopens.
"I am really excited to bring my approach to the beautiful simplicity of a pizzeria menu," May said in the release. "Sourcing the best ingredients and serving them in a really relatable way that can't help but evoke the best memories of gathering around great food."
Dough said it will remain true to its historic location and roots, which was at one time a favorite for Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack when they wanted "a slice and a cocktail after a show."
