Fireside Pies fans clamor for return of claws

Fireside Pies has announced the winning appetizer in its Fireside Favs contest: the snow crab claws.

Fireside Pies has announced the winning appetizer in its Fireside Favs contest was the snow crab claws. The week-long social media promotion invited Facebook followers to vote for the appetizer they wanted added back to the menu. The snow crab claws beat the harvest salad and baked goat cheese to be named the official Fireside Favorite.

"When our fans speak up, it is our job to listen," said Liz Jones, marketing director of the Dallas-based Fireside Pies, a collection of neighborhood restaurants in Dallas dedicated to serving artisan pizzas made in wood-fired ovens. "Our guests have been raving about several of the dishes we have had on the menu in the past, which is why we decided to host a contest to see which of our previous menu favorites was the ultimate fan favorite. We are looking forward to bringing back the crab claws to thank our followers for their vote and continued loyalty to Fireside Pies."

Fireside Pies offered the claws as an appetizer for several years, but the brand will bring back the appetizer for good. The winning dish features snow crab claws baked in garlic lemon butter with a side of toasted crostini.
