Flippers Pizzeria kicks off philanthropy campaigns

April 17, 2014

Flippers Pizzeria has planned a variety of philanthropic events this spring throughout its Central Florida communities. According to a news release, these efforts include food and supply donations and volunteer hours at schools, medical centers and nonprofit organizations.

"We are proud to support meaningful organizations and events," said Kelly Pfister, marketing director. "Just last month we helped to feed close to 600 volunteers at the 36th Annual Arnold Palmer Invitation; it's something we enjoy doing every year, and we consider it a valuable display of our commitment to our community and customers."

Throughout the remainder of April, the company plans to support Paint Orlando Blue, a campaign organized by the Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families that raises awareness and promotes the prevention of child abuse.

Flippers Pizzeria will also support the 38th Annual Golden South Classic presented by Adidas by providing pizzas and salads to the more than 175 volunteers. The proceeds raised at the event support the sports medicine program at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

"Giving back is what we consider an essential ingredient of our brand — part of a larger set of brand values," said Ben Richardson, VP of Operations. "We take great pride in making the perfect pizza, a passion that is fueled by our friends, our neighbors, and our communities."
