Garlic Jim's debuts gluten-free crust

EVERETT, Wash. -- Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza has announced the nationwide debut of its new gluten-free pizzas.
Garlic Jim's first introduced gluten-free pizza to the Portland/Vancouver, Wash., metro area at the end of May.
Gluten-free pizzas are being introduced by Garlic Jim's at the request of customers who have family members or friends who suffer from gluten intolerance, company officials said. The Garlic Jim's Operations Department conducted extensive research and testing culminating in a gluten-free pizza menu that recreates Garlic Jim's specialty pizzas with a special crust.
"We are working closely with the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America to make certain that our stores have the proper training and knowledge so they can be compliant and avoid cross-contamination," said Ross Marzolf, director of local marketing at Garlic Jim's. "We're confident that our franchisees will be ready to roll out this exciting addition to the Garlic Jim's menu."
Several Garlic Jim's stores will be doing advance tastings of its gluten-free pizzas. These tastings will be announced on the Garlic Jim's Web site and in the media, officials said.
