Giordano's is marking America's 250th birthday with the launch of a limited-time specialty pizza that will also support military veterans, according to a press release.
Participating Giordano's locations nationwide are offering the Americana Pizza, a pepperoni-and-sausage pizza featuring a commemorative Parmesan cheese stencil design in the shape of "250." A portion of the proceeds from each pizza sold will benefit Honor Flight Network, a nonprofit organization that honors U.S. war veterans.
"America's 250th anniversary is a moment to celebrate our shared history and recognize those who have served our country," Meghan Parra, VP of marketing and public relations for Giordano's, said in the press release. "The Americana Pizza allows our guests to be part of that celebration while supporting an incredible organization that honors veterans and their sacrifices."
The specialty pizza combines two of the chain's most popular toppings on Giordano's signature pizza and includes a limited-edition Parmesan cheese stencil design on deep-dish options to commemorate the nation's semiquincentennial. The pizza will be available through July 31 at participating locations nationwide.
Honor Flight Network has transported hundreds of thousands of veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit memorials dedicated to their military service.
Customers can order the Americana Pizza for dine-in, carryout or delivery. The deep-dish pizza will also be available for nationwide shipping through Giordano's online store. Each shipped pizza arrives frozen and includes a commemorative 250 stencil and a Parmesan cheese packet for home preparation.
Giordano's has nearly 60 locations across 9 states.
