Grotto Pizza, charities partner on unique Parade of Trees fundraiser

December 10, 2003

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.—Fifteen-unit Grotto Pizza has found a unique way of tying together a business-building opportunity, Christmas trees and charitable fund-raising.

According to The Cape Gazette, for the 17th year, the chain is hosting its Annual Parade of Trees, which began Nov. 24.

Businesses and community groups donate a $100 entrance fee in order to decorate Christmas trees posted at various Grotto Pizza locations. Until Dec. 21, Grotto customers can vote for their favorite tree by making donations to that charity.

The tree collecting the most donations is declared the winner, to which Grotto adds its own $250 gift.
