November 15, 2011

Detroit-based Happy's Pizza has partnered with Greater Grace Temple for its annual "Happy's Coat's for Kids" winter coat giveaway. The event is Nov. 26 and will provide 4,000 new coats for Detroit area youths.

"Happy's Coats For Kids" has partnered with Greater Grace Temple for three years, as well as retired Detroit Lion Lomas Brown. This year also will include support from the Detroit Lions' Maurice Morris and volunteers from Bank of America and City Year.

In the past three years, nearly 12,000 young people have benefited from this outreach program.

Happy's Pizza first opened in 1996 and now includes more than 95 locations in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Las Vegas. More units are planned in California and Texas.
