SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—Hot Stuff Foods is taking the offensive to help c-store retailers capture a greater share of the customer's stomach with the launch of the Hot Stuff Foods Great American Pizza Rollback. According to a news release, the initiative will include the offer of special marketing materials, rebates and incentives to help retailers offer a low price on Hot Stuff personal size pan pizzas.
"The high cost of petroleum has affected every dimension of the c-store operator's business," said Des Hague, chairman and president of Hot Stuff Foods. "The Great American Pizza Rollback is a program we developed with our franchisees to allow them to market a restaurant-quality pizza at a very attractive price."
Hague said the pepperoni personal size pan pizza is the most popular pizza item in the convenience store industry.
The promotion, which kicks off this month and runs until the end of September 2006, will include Hot Stuff's popular Bacon Cheeseburger personal size pan pizzas as well.
Retailers will receive a rebate for every pepperoni or bacon cheeseburger personal size pan pizza they sell during the promotion period. The suggested retail selling price is less than $2.49.
"We'll closely monitor the success of this program," said Hague, "and expect to partner with our retailers in the future, to 'rollback' other popular pizza and menu items."
Hot Stuff Foods franchises and/or licenses its branded food concepts in over 1,600 locations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.
