Hungry Howie's adds social media elements to breast cancer fundraiser

Hungry Howie's Pizza will feature its annual "Love, Hope & Pizza" campaign throughout October to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. As part of the campaign, pizzas will be served in a pink box featuring the NBCF logo.

Additionally, for every pizza sold, every story shared via social media, every new Facebook fan and every photo tagged with #LOVEHOPEPIZZA Hungry Howie's Pizza will make a donation to the foundation. Guests also have the ability to purchase a Love, Hope & Pizza t-shirt online for $15.99, a rubber bracelet for $1 or a reusable shopping bag for $2 with all proceeds going to the foundation.

According to a news release, Hungry Howie's Pizza has raised more than $1M for breast cancer research throughout the last five years, and hopes to increase that number to $1,300,000 this year.

"Hungry Howie's Pizza has received an overwhelmingly wonderful response over the last five years from the Love, Hope & Pizza campaign, and it has become a fundamental part of our brand," said Rob Elliott, VP of Strategic Marketing, in the release.
