Hungry Howie’s Pizza has opened its newest location in Monroe, Mich., continuing its expansion across its home state.
According to a news release, the Monroe location will be husband and wife duo Patrick and Carole Shannon’s third Hungry Howie’s Pizza restaurant, with their first two located in Milan and Saline, Mich. Before opening their first Hungry Howie’s Pizza location, both spent more than a decade working at the Hungry Howie’s Pizza’s corporate office, where they originally met. At the 2014 Hungry Howie’s Pizza’s annual franchisee convention, the Shannons were awarded the Franchisee of the Year award.
To celebrate the brand’s newest location, Hungry Howie’s will make a donation to the Monroe Housing Commission, a local organization that creates affordable housing for its residents’ self- sufficiency and economic independence. Additionally, one customer will be awarded free pizza for one year.
“We are lucky to have the Shannon’s as long-term members of the Hungry Howie’s Pizza family,” Jennifer Jackson, director of development, said in the release. “They operate their locations in Milan and Saline extraordinarily, and we look forward to seeing the same in Monroe.”
