Hungry Howie's Pizza has signed deals for new locations in Utah and Washington state, continuing the momentum built in 2017 when it ended the year with 48 signed location agreements, according to a news release. The company said it has signed a five-store multi-unit agreement in Washington and a three-store multi-unit agreement in Utah.
Chain leadership said that this year the brand will focus on expansion in Nashville and Houston, as well as Birmingham and Montgomery in Alabama and Raleigh and Durham, in North Carolina.
Utah-based franchisee Bill Tokar brings more than 10 years of experience training franchisees, supervisors and restaurant managers on improved operational processes and guest experience. Tokar and his father are opening locations in the Salt Lake City markets of Layton, Kaysville and Syracuse in Davis County.
Former California construction business owners Sadie and Michael Hill are relocating to Olympia, Washington, to open five locations in that state within the next three years.
The 45-year-old Hungry Howie's Pizza chain has nearly 550 locations in 20 U.S. states.
