Hungry Howie's giving free pizza to anyone named 'Howie'

Is your name Howie? If so, you may have a free pizza on "National Cheese Pizza Day."

Hungry Howie’s Pizza will celebrate "National Cheese Pizza Day" on Sept. 5 by giving a free small cheese pizza to all customers with the name Howie, or any variation of the name Howard, according to a company press release. Customers who share the name, whether it be their first, middle or last name, will be awarded a free pizza upon showing a valid form of I.D. The promotion will only be available for in-store pick-up.

"National Cheese Pizza Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate all ‘Howies’ who love our flavored crust pizza and choose Hungry Howie’sover the rest," Hungry Howie’s Pizza Executive Vice President of Marketing Rob Elliott said. "We encourage all ‘Howies’ to come into their local Hungry Howie’s Pizza on September 5 and enjoy a classic cheese pizza with their choice of one of eight famous flavored crusts, including: butter, butter cheese, Cajun, garlic herb, onion, ranch, sesame and asiago cheese."  

Founded in 1973, Hungry Howie’s Pizza has nearly 600 locations in 20 states.
