Lavu Inc. has added new features to its mobile iPad POS software, including an Employee Portal that allows employees to view schedules online and trade shifts with other staff.

Additionally, new RFID reader integration increases security and streamlines the clock in/out process to a simple card swipe, making a faster and more accountable environment for employees, the company said in a release.

By logging in at, Lavu POS users can request or accept shift trades and coverage, adjust settings and contact info, and view and print weekly schedules. Schedules are made in the account’s control panel, and adjusted in real-time to the shared employee portal.

“We introduced in response to positive customer feedback,” CTO Corey Fiala said in the release. “The new shift manager feature will allow staff to search the entire schedule for shifts that need to be covered, and allow them to put their own shift up for grabs when they need to take the day off. Having a centralized location to view and trade shifts will make employees’ lives easier and will free up extra time for management.”
