Little Caesars doling out free pizza to nation after NCAA upset

March 19, 2018

Little Caesars might very well want to eat its' laurel crown this morning after making a free pizza promise to the nation if the once "all-but-impossible" NCAA upset happened and No. 16 seed — the University of Maryland, Baltimore County — beat No. 1 seed — the University of Virginia —  in the NCAA March Madness Tournament.

The Friday afternoon "promise" made by the chain on its social media accounts seemed about as likely Friday as every human waking up to a pot of gold at their front doors on St. Patrick's Day Saturday. But as we all know now, the upset happened just as St. Patrick's Day was dawning early Saturday morning when the top-ranking Virginia Cavaliers officially got trampled by UMBC.

"Little Caesars‏ @littlecaesars
Because "CRAZY HAPPENED" with a #16 beating a #1 (!!!!), everyone in America gets a free #LittleCaesars Lunch Combo on Monday, April 2nd."

Now, the chain will make good on its pizza promise on from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 2, when anyone can get a free lunch combo of a four-slice, deep-dish pepperoni pizza and a Pepsi product at no charge.
