Little Caesars has launched a feature that allows customers to order pizza through ChatGPT by integrating the AI's conversational abilities with the company's digital infrastructure, according to a press release.
The tool, which is rolling out across the United States and select locations in Mexico and Canada, is designed to assist with group meal planning and personalized ordering. Customers can use the interface to receive recommendations based on budget, dietary needs or the number of people being fed.
Once a meal is planned within the ChatGPT interface, the system uses deep-linking technology to transition the user to the Little Caesars app or website to complete the checkout process for pickup or delivery.
"Today's consumers are turning to GenAI as part of how they search for everything, including where to get their next meal," Greg Hamilton, CMO at Little Caesars, said in the press release. "We recognize this shift and want to meet our customers where they already are and be the go-to for their pizza occasions. The process is as natural and intuitive as having a conversation. It's not just about technology for technology's sake — it's about making life a little easier for people who love great pizza."
The integration connects the company's real-time menu, pricing, and store data directly with the large language model.
"From a technical standpoint, this app in ChatGPT demonstrates the power of connecting enterprise restaurant systems with large language models," Anita Klopfenstein, global chief information and digital officer at Little Caesars, added in the press release. "We've built a sophisticated backend that enables ChatGPT to access our menu, pricing, and store locator data in real-time while maintaining security and compliance standards. This is just the beginning of how AI will transform the restaurant industry."
To use the feature, customers can search for Little Caesars within the ChatGPT app directory and connect their accounts.
