Little Caesars Veterans Program celebrates one year

DETROIT — Veterans Day marks the one-year anniversary of the Little Caesars Veterans Program, which has enabled nearly two dozen U.S. military veterans to transition to new careers as Little Caesars franchisees in the past 12 months.
 
The Little Caesars Veterans Program offers honorably discharged service-disabled veterans, who qualify as Little Caesars franchisees, a benefit of up to $68,000. Honorably discharged non- service-disabled veterans who qualify are eligible for a benefit of $10,000.
 
The company has received more than 1,350 inquires about the program.
 
Army Staff Sergeant Robbie Doughty, who lost both legs in a roadside bomb explosion in Iraq in 2004, was the first veteran to open a Little Caesars franchise. Doughtyopenedthe location in Paducah, Ky., Feb. 1.
