Mangia aims for longest pizza record

AUSTIN, Texas -- On Nov. 15, four days after the restaurant celebrates its 20th anniversary and two days after International Guinness World Records Day, the owners of Mangia Pizza, in partnership with Meals on Wheels and More, will bring together 1,050 cheese and pepperoni pies to create the longest line of pizzas ever assembled.
Mangia's goal is to beat the existing record of 725 feet by piecing together over 1,000 feet of pizzas. To qualify, the pizzas must be touching crust to crust.
After the pizzas are lined up and measured by an official Guinness World Record adjudicator, employees from Mangia and Meals on Wheels and More will distribute the pizzas by van to the local Salvation Army.
