Marco's Pizza to expand in California

PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Marco's Pizza franchisee Deepak Gupta plans to open up to 36 restaurants in the East Bay and Central Valley areas of northern California. The first Marco's Pizza stores are slated to open during the first half of 2009.

Marco's currently operates more that 170 stores in 13 states. Gupta's restaurants will be the first Marco's in California.
