Marco's prepares for major growth in Iowa

Marco’s Pizza said its ready to plant a growing crop of 31 new restaurants in Iowa, which will create more than 750 new jobs in the Hawkeye State. The pizza chain said in a news release that it will start with a foundational system of up to two stores in Des Moines at the end of this year and in 2017, according to a news release. The chain will then add up to four Iowa locations annually.

The state has seven locations under the chain’s largest franchisee, Family Video, according to a news release. 

 Marco’s Chief Development Officer Cameron Cummins and local developers in Des Moines are actively seeking franchisees with their eyes on possible locations in the suburbs of Urbandale, Pleasantville, Norwalk, Norwoodville and Avon Lake. 

"Bringing Marco’s growth strategy back to its Midwest roots, Iowa shows every sign for potential success for franchisees," Cummins said. "Our development in Iowa is only beginning, which is an exciting chapter in our growth story."
